You've read it pretty fast. Yeah, the first segment is the most changed, because it was the part I was most dissatisfied with. The latter part, although, needed some editing and received some expanding in the end, I liked a lot more in its state as it was. There were however changes/additions still and I do believe they're also rather improved. The conference part at least, because the battle is indeed not much changed. It just has a few more details to the battle and some different phrasing. The conference part did have some lines carried over the same from the original though, so in that respect it might be the part that keeps the most from the original.
And yeah there's a lot more going on in the first part (and the second part) and I'd love to discuss all that in your DMs where I know you are right now as I'm writing this.
