The Rift, if that's what you mean by Intercontinental gateway, is found between Militiregnum and Crux, but that would be correct. Aesregnum and Gleswin -where the Lost Path is found- are both lands of Crux, but they are not the same (different face of Crux in fact). Although both are now shattered after the explosion.
And yeah I enjoyed writing this scene. A lot of this is based on the idea that the more you heed a ghost the more power it has over you (that's why lots of them try to scare you). 'tis a fun place.
