It was very disturbing, seeing Iamos so ... well, weak. The gruffer side of me wanted to slap him upside the head and say, "Good greif man, get a grip!" It was almost annoying to keep reading because I wanted him to just get over it, but nevertheless, I kept reading on the edge of my seat because I didn't know what would happen if he completely lost it. Or what 'loosing it' looks like.
Also, I understood exactly why he couldn't just get over it. You did a very good job describing his state of mind.
