I never actually said that Iamos wanted to be taught by Aedus, but yes, Iamos was originally going to go and look for him. :P
As for your comments: Elepharian just sounds more natural to me, and the map is... well... nobody's really explained to me how the map works. :P I feel like it's "blank slate" mode is just a bog standard map of Militiregnum, and then things change when magic stuff happens.
