History of Star Force
Rising turmoil in the 25th Century led to increased militarization of the Federation's defensive operations, starting with Star Fleet's creation of troop-based armies in 2430. Initially staffed with Star Fleet security officers, these early Federation soldiers received additional combat training but remained primarily stationed on starships, with occasional ground operations coordinated by Star Fleet.
In 2455, Admiral Harvard Grant founded Star Force with the intention of operating a more effective military than the prior Star Fleet effort. New Star Force troopers were no longer exclusively conscripted from Star Fleet ranks and no longer needed to graduate Star Fleet Academy, instead attending the new Star Force Academy.
In 2465, Star Force partnered with Captain Edric Talmid of Alpha Centauri Fleet Yards for the production of special Star Force vehicles, under the moniker Talmidian Starship Industries.
In 2480, Star Force's directorship was succeeded by Commodore Theodore Theodorackis, whose first notable decision was the adoption of Star Force's gray and black troop uniforms that remain in contemporary use.
Also under the Commodore's leadership, Star Force began facilitating special grants to companies in the military equipment industry in the interest of expanding its vehicular force. Recipients of these grants included United Star Fighters Incorporated, HPC Airframe Industries, Mechanion Union, and Mersann Tank Industries. These companies remain strategic partners to Star Force in the 26th Century.
Star Force Service Divisions
As a conglomeration of the Federation's armed forces, with the exception of Star Fleet, Star Force includes three main service divisions:
- Infantry Force, the footsoldier division
- Aerospace Force, the air and space division
- Armored Force, the ground-based armored vehicular division
Infantry Force
The infantry force forms the backbone of Star Force operations. Soldiers trained in specializations are organized into distinct divisions:

Aerospace Force
The aerospace division contains all Star Force aircraft, spacecraft, and aerospacecraft operations. While all Star Force troopers receive basic flight training, aerospace division pilots and crews live and breathe the miracle of flight - and how to fight in it. Armored Force
The armored division contains ground-based armored vehicles. The armored division pilots and crews are specially trained in leading vehicular combat. Vehicle types used by the armored force include:
