Carol of the Bells

As sung by Vladek

~

Hark how the bells

(Bothersome bells)

All seem to say

Please go away

~

My schemes are near (Hum)

So you steer clear (bug)

Bitter and cold (Hum)

Scamps I shall scold (bug)

~

“Humbug! So long!” (Hum)

That is the song (bug)

With sour ring (Hum)

All despising. (bug)

~

A nasty leer

For all who near

My evil lair

All should beware

~

Oh how they hound

Raising the sound

And as they wail

My plains derail

~

Loudly they sing

Carols vexing

At them I leer,

So they steer clear!

Rowdy irksome prying noisy children

Lousy good for nothing noisy children

~

On on they send, (Hum)

On without end, (bug)

Their irksome tone (Hum)

To my abode (bug)

Carol of the Bells. I like that song for the urgency it conveys. Very useful when you make action Christmass stories, like A Very Olde Speech Christmass for instance.

Nice parody! :D

Thank you! I take great pride in the fact that every one of the lines in the parody version both rhymes with and has the same number of syllables as its counterpart in the original version.

That is indeed an impressive feat!
