What story elements do we have to incorporate into Scattered Ashes?
So far I've got:
- The dual-Thingguys plot
- The Away Team
- Talmid, Jonna and Peragrine being prisoners
- Stirling's vendetta against TheDude
- Mattias, Iamos, Dewin Prentis (name unconfirmed) and the magic map
- Vladek and his nephew...grandson...person, Ogel
- TheDude being overthrown by the end of the story
We also apparently want to include
- A scene where the Away Team meet Jonna and the two Thingguys and misunderstandings ensue
- TheDude dramatically reveals an army of homunculi and they're tiny because that's what homunculi are historically
- Iamos becoming King of Morcia, if only briefly (I think as a reference to how I'm the wikia admin?)
What have I missed?
I think it might be best if we postpone Ogel until the third installment in the series (unless that contradicts with fffffplayer's plans for that book), as the focus of the second book is mainly on thedude's experimentation with mind control and consequent Thingguy clones. I think adding another major plot development would detract from the one we have planned for the book (order 66 and all that). I don't know if I mentioned it when I first posted the idea, but I my intention was to add Ogel sometime after SA.
I had this idea for this mysterious "vigilante" type guy and his army of other vigilantes who oppose thedude. His identity is a secret (obviously, because he's a vigilante :P), and I'm not going to reveal it because it's supposed to be a surprise. :P I would like to add him into SA wherever possible (Either by simply mentioning him in passing or by actually having a scene about him. Preferably both. :P)
Lastly, I would like to bring back SkilledHonoredNinja somewhere in SA. As you probably guessed, he was not smashed, but was actually captured by thedude. He was experimented on, tortured, and nice stuff like that, and was driven insane. In that way, Insane Me will join the ranks of KotOS. :P
