ORGANISATION
What story elements do we have to incorporate into Scattered Ashes?
So far I've got:
- The dual-Thingguys plot
- The Away Team
- Talmid, Jonna and Peragrine being prisoners
- Stirling's vendetta against TheDude
- Mattias, Iamos, Dewin Prentis (name unconfirmed) and the magic map
- Vladek and his nephew...grandson...person, Ogel
- TheDude being overthrown by the end of the story
We also apparently want to include
- A scene where the Away Team meet Jonna and the two Thingguys and misunderstandings ensue
- TheDude dramatically reveals an army of homunculi and they're tiny because that's what homunculi are historically
- Iamos becoming King of Morcia, if only briefly (I think as a reference to how I'm the wikia admin?)
What have I missed?
Also, don't be too certain about where Perry is during SA. Strider had something up his sleeve if I'm not mistaken. Everything else looks good to me.
Yes. It looks like I will not be able to finish it in time. Â If that turns out to be the case, I will Jammer it on the boards or here, so as to not hold anyone up. . . In fact, I think I'll just post my self-jotted notes here.
SUPER SPOILER ALERTS!!!! (I think we're all writers here, though, so ...)
Jean-Claude is kept on retainer after telling Silverstine secrets, because he is the main translator for Olde Speech, which has defied tehdeuds forces of understanding up till this point. Because of this, Jean lives quite comforatbly in the palace of tehdued. Those who give Jean his work always tell him minially of what it is for, because they know Jean is squeimish. So jean does the work, no questions asked, because ignorance is bliss. Â To cement this, the dude and his forces go to reasonable lenghts to keep Jean-Claude comforatable, and occupied. . . though this all backfires when he begins remodeling, and procures the services of _Jimmeny Cricket_ Merchants to recarpet the ENIRE palace.
J.C. Merchants has a oriental design with non-oriental people manning it. Specifically two ladies. (who turn out to be Stirling's Mother and Sister, Elanor and Emily, who have taken to being undercover Merchants searching Morcia for LEGENDS. Not Heros... LEGENDS...

Unaware of the merchants Identity, (till it is too late,) Jean-Claude calls them to recarpet everything. Â Emily takes this chance to scour the dungeons. Â Something goes wrong with teh plan (perhaps a lack of plan... :P ) and Peragrine ends up waking. Â In general chaos that I have yet to write, Perry, and a few other -selet- prisoners escape with Emily and Elenor. Â Perry is a main catalyst to their escape, and freedom, using his newfound magic. Â They are set loose for S.A. :cool:
The question is... Where in the timeline does this happen??? Â Perhaps, (and I'm just spitballing here) during Charcol and Embers? Â :P :P :P Â
