Concerning two elements of the infobox:
Canon Status: I think we should set what canon statuses we will use. That's what I thought of:
- Full Canon: Self-explanatory
- PD Canon: It's canon, but not necessarily to every detail. The actual details are vague, either because it contradicts with another manuscript or because it contradicts itself (or for some other reason). Two examples would be Perpetual Doom and Inside the Mirror Halls.
- Half Canon: I'm not sure if we really need this and we could merge it with PD Canon. Parts are Full Canon, but other parts are Non-Canon.
- Non-Canon: Self-explanatory, though I don't know if we will ever use it.
- Cannon: A piece of artillery that uses gunpowder or other usually explosive-based propellants to launch a projectile, which may or may not be explosive.
- Cannon Fodder: Harold's Story! :P
Type of Story: Again I think we should have some standard types and these ones are what I thought of:
- Main (Story): The basic books of the MMOS KotOS Series.
- Short (Story): Shorts Stories, probably Additional Manuscripts.
- Side or Parallel (?) (Story): Independent stories that eventually got merged in the Series like The Rhoddwr Marwolaeth and the Talmid Show.
- Secondary (Story): Things like Commentary and Gallery Descriptions (e.g. the map description and Villainy's description).
Opinions?
Concerning types of story, I think that Short Stories can just stay named Additional Manuscripts, especially since most if not all AMs would just be group underneath that. A rename feels unnecessary considering Additional Manuscripts sounds awesome already, and the current name won't put as much stress on the length of the stories, which vary quite a bit! :P
I like the term "Parallel" more than "Side," it allows the book to still stand as a story in its own right while coexisting with KoTOS.
Theroetically, there could at some point be a Short Story that is not an Additional Manuscript. And technically it's not a rename as the Additional Manuscripts is the title of the Book containing the Short Stories of KotOS. Additional Manuscripts is a catchy name, though! :P
I do believe I called it Book One and a Half in the first post. When I made the topic, I thought of it more of a compilation of short stories called the Additional Manuscripts (and I still do). But the name refers to the stories themselves, so I suppose we can use it. I don't see why not.
