Yeehaw, I can finally post in the thread!!  Wikia was annoyingly refusing to work right on my device when I was out of the house today.  I couldn't comment or quote anything.  So now I don't even remember what specific relevant info by fffffffplayer1's, Stirling and N_B's discussion I read that inspired me to write the following:

I theorize, and put this into written effect in Song of the Swans, that the powers of minifigures with unlocked imagination is directly related to their proximity to the Nexus.  This can be seen by how the 4 Explorers were able to bring their creations to life by standing next to the Nexus.  Let me now say forgive me if, for some reason, what I'm about to write is already obvious and I'm needlessly repeating common knowledge. File:Emotion-4.gif

There are two effects of this distance-to-Nexus relationship.  Minifigures not in close proximity to (ie. same star system) a Nexus cannot use unlocked Imagination powers.  Being close to a Nexus gives minifigures passive buffs to their Creative Sparks, even when smashed.  But being far away from a Nexus means the effects of unlocked Imagination are undermined, are less effective, and will not passively replete.  This is why when minifigures smash on Militiregnum or Elistra, they smash permanently (eg. Sir Legoboy may he rest in peace), and also why Intrepid tired himself to near-death by over-using his Bat Lord abilities on Elistra in SOTS.  And secondly, prolonged time away from a Nexus, in conjunction with prolonged lack of power use, may re-lock Imagination powers.

Now where do, say, minifigures like Cyclone and Kate fit into this?  Because they have super Creative sparks.  Are they any different?  The answer is Yes.  And this is a bit spoilery if you think about my stories a bit.  Kate's and Cyclone's Creative sparks are so powerful that once unlocked, they are actually as self-sustaining as a Nexus - they are basically mini-Nexuses - they are basicaly Nexus Figures! File:Emotion-3.gif  You know who else has this magical ability?  Actually that is too much of a spoiler and I won't say.  You may be able to guess them.
