At one point it was becoming like that.
I mostly can't fathom how it got so long.... I feel abridgement is needed. In copying it all over I had the (mis)fortune of rereading most of all of it, and making some minor edits, and there are some continuity errors, folds in the space-time continuum that require ironing out. :P
In addition to "Song of the Scattered Brains" this story should also be called "Song of the Dynamic Writing Styles."
