Remember when we were discussing about Rascus, Danju, Santis and Jayko? I had an idea about that. It is an augmented ageless sleep idea.
What if Lord Vladek cursed them to sleep (or to freeze) shortly before defeated at the last war before thedude arrives. Then, when thedude takes over, Vladek secretly releases them, so that they can help undermine thedude's rule?
Maybe he knew the Guardian's location and had them wake up at his doorstep or something.
