I adamantly refuse to quote that chain. :P On the topic of the aparently long-lived knights:

I'm inclined towards option #1. Did you explictly state their names when you hinted at their existing pre-PD? If not, I can easily see turning this situation into them being the children of other knights. If I recall correctly, they had their own estates/keeps in different locations. Jayko did at least- it stands to reason the others did. They'd be noble families, like the Silverstines, Blacksuns and Calibus's; perhaps these four families in particular have always served as knights. Though then there's the question, where were they during PD? Eh, I'm probably just reiterating stuff that's already been thought of, thus adding nothing to this conversation... :P Anyway. Option #2 would explain why they weren't in PD, though! Matthias could have been awakening them during the 15 year period. Hmm. I almost like that more than option #1.

Jayko getting crowned at the end of SA would tie our story in with the KK story quite permanently. Honestly, the question in my mind is whether or not we want Lady Jonna to become queen at the end- if she does, Jayko doesn't get crowned, and vice versa. Personally I like the idea of keeping the canon of both stories consistent with one another and having Jayko made king.
