I thought you intended Perry to conjure a lot of green spheres. Did you change your mind after all?
Finally, I think you need a connecting paragraph or sentence between chapter 7's two parts, because the transition seems a little abrupt. Something along the lines of "After a lot of magical training, these things happened" or "Steffan continued tutoring Peragrine for the duration of an Eye of the Tiger cut" :P
