For the KotOS themselves or for the story? Assuming you mean the latter, I am not sure. I mean we sure are trying to create an epic (at the points we don't make comedy) or at least some of us are/tried, which gets inspired from LOTR in a way and I have been inspired from LOTR in my ideas for Militiregnum's (long lost) past, but I don't know if it's something general and necessarily LOTR-related. Besides medieval is not exactly like the epic Tolkien describes. It's that in its decay.
