Hey Strider, how much did that weird thing with your co-worker inspire Perry? It just makes me a bit iffy on wether or not to combine the C.O.D and KOTOS.

Woah woah woah.

That's why you've sorta gone inactive???

Theo, I apologize if that made you uncomfortable. That was years ago. I assure you, it was only one tiny part of many things that made up Peragrine Wanderthistle from a regular Daredevil Nexus Forcer into Peragrine Wanderthistle the Exuberant.  I tend to subconsciously write using lots of things from my life. Another part, and the larger part, of Peragrine's magical abilities was a comment by one of the Kotos, (I think it might have been either Wiz or JDI,) saying that I never seem to make Overpowered characters. That inspired me to see what my characters would look like, overpowered. So I drew this.

I drew Stirling, Peragrine, and Uncle Mortimer as super-powerful magicians. (Because at the time, Kotos was talking about whether to include high fantasy, like Dragons and Dwarves, in Scattered Ashes.)

As you'll see, Magical Perry is drawn here. Now, this was years after that 'weird stuff' as you put it.

I assure you, first and foremost, Perry is Innocent. That's what he represents to me. He is the innocent childish side of me. That is my first inspiration, and it will stay that way.

Also, I cannot lie to you, brother. I find the idea of other dimensions, and powers very interesting. But I also understand that it is very dangerous. Like, unbelievably so. Unfortunatly, unlike most people, like yourself and my sister, I don't get scared by that sort of stuff easily. However, that 'weird stuff' all those years ago actually made me think twice about it. I don't go looking for trouble, but ever since then, I am more aware that we, as Believers in Christ our Saviour, are fighting against "Powers and Principalities" and I do not like being blind to it.

I'm no fool. So while I do not seek out these other powers and principalites, I also believe we cannot simply ignore or be blind to them. God has not given us a spirit of timidity. Also, as his Children, He will protect us. (but that doesn't mean we should test His protection! Heaven Forbid.)

That 'weird stuff' was years ago, but it left an impression on me. The realization/confirmation that these things are REAL. They are God's creation, and they exist in the NOW. They are all around, warring against God and his angels, every minute of every day.

I would have to be not human to have that not influence me, and especially my writing.

I don't work at that place anymore, thankfully. But God had me there for a season, for some reason. I know I tried to show them Christ in my work there, and to be a light unto Him. But this co-worker and his wife were older folks, and very stout in their (seperate) beliefs.

Heh, whenever he wasn't talking to me, his wife was, about... I think... Islam? It was all years ago now. Hard to remember.

Anyway, the point is, even though all that stuff has happened to me, I assure you I am a Christian, and while that 'weird stuff' has affected me, in my life, and in my writing, I am firmly rooted in the Grip of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Please, if you have any issues or qualms with me, let me know! Everyone in Kotos is wondering where you dissapeared to. :(
