They are highly maneuverable and very fast with their two primary thrusters and additional maneuvering thrusters. They have good storage capacity and the available space inside can be used for troop transportation or increased bombing capacity. And they are heavily armed for their size, with two large cannons that can cripple or destroy large starships in strafing runs, and completely annihilate other fighters in one hit.
