I guess the general Ankorian curse doesn't matter that much seeing as it's the kind that takes its time. Could be generations before its signs really start showing. So, the Ankorian setting isn't that much of a setting. It's Margothor specifically that I'm not sure works. I don't know if Kal would want that, but maybe a simple fix would be to choose a different city inside Ankoria? It wouldn't be the only city lying in ruins there, I guess.
