Summary
The Pink Nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas approximately 2000 lightyears across in orbit around the Kadrus Galactic Core. The nebula has existed for at least as long as recorded history. It is invisible to the naked eye but can be found in long-exposure images of the night sky on every core world. Believed to have originated from the explosion of an ancient supernova, the pink nebula may very well be as old as the universe.
Deep space scans have uncovered strains in the fabric of space-time in the densest parts of the Pink Nebula, facilitating transit of Unverse. Indeed, mist from the Pink Nebula has leaked through Unverse to other dimensions, including the Star Trek Dimension, creating another Pink Nebula there.
Taking advantage of these strains, thedude had his Unverse Jumpgate built inside the Pink Nebula, supporting starship travel between dimensions, and used for his interdimensional conquest.
