Oh, freakin' Crux! I love it! Masterful chapter!
The writing style for a distressed Azura fits like a glove. The way her thought process comes out as a confusing (but not too confusing) continuous train of thought if perfect for her. And oh man! When I realised that the man with the flame patterns was Aedus... Now, that's a twist. And what better way to end The Dangerous Life than with such encounter reminding characters and readers are like that the real danger is still looming. One mistake and everything could go real bad real fast. Man, that was great!
And yay for Daiyu's development. Also, I liked that subtle hint that Iamos was looking for Azura and therefore was concerned for her as well. In general, a great conclusion to a great Segment.
Only thing I'd have to nitpick is that the Akane-Iamos bonding wasn't resolved, but since we're going to get that in the next Segment, it's not really a serious problem. So, with that said: On to the Challenging Life!!! Always exciting to step into new territory right? Especially if it's challenging.
