It was also a reference to the last Talmid Show, in which Kapern got destroyed by the Rhoddwr Marwolaeth. However in my Moons of Militiregnum article I stated that Lyra, the surviving moon, is the one responsible for the Skyfalls. It is plausible that with Kapern's destruction Lyra's orbit was affected so the Skyfalls now occur at different strengths. It is also very possible that thedude has banned viewing of the event.
I'm glad you like the chapter. I tried to make it very PD / SAey and departed from my usual writing style for this one. In other words I put a lot of effort to make it seem to fit with the other chapters, while also alleviating the concens you noted about having a clear mission, not being too disjointed, that sort of thing, so I made sure to clearly reference / restate events of the the last chapter with the Talmid-Luke group, and also make sure their mission was clear as stated by Luke in the first act.
I wrote all of Talmid's parts in Aquila first and then added Luke's side quest, which ended up blossoming in the last act into what I think is a major development of the story, getting more resistance members to join the cause.
