Summary
F-314c USFI Star Falcon III was the third of the Star Falcon series of aerospace fighters, launched in 2508 and serving until 2512 as a third-generation fighter. Standard weapons systems were again increased from the preceding fighter, the Star Falcon II, adding more phasers, a second cannon, and two inline rocket racks, along with minor engine upgrades and design alterations. This notable increase in firepower was concordant with most updates to the third-generation fighting force, primarily in response to an increase in Federation military action at the time.
To date, Falcon III had the heaviest internal weapons armament of the Falcon lineup, and it could hit harder than both previous fighters combined. However, when counting external weapons systems and measuring total destructive power, which takes into account improvements in weapon effectiveness, it is obviously beat by the newer fighters.
It would be succeeded by the Falcon IV.
