CHAPTER ONE
When King Matthias fell, Morcia went with it. thedude7500 ruled Morcia with an iron fist, and he and his forces were hunting down and capturing the KotoOS. Getting out of Morcia was almost impossible. How did some make it out? That's a long story. And it starts with him.
His name was Larry. He was a minifigure. With me so far?
Now Larry was what he liked to call a âfree spirit.â He didnât do much other than what he wanted to do, which wasnât much. He was a good fellow, though. He wasnât mean and he never did anything to hurt anyone. He called himself a free spirit. Other people would call him a âlazy and useless waste of plastic.â This is what Harold, the general storekeeper, called him now.
âHey, dude!â Larry replied indignantly. âI ainât useless, dude! I can juggle FIVE balls!â
âI donât care how many balls you can juggle! Itâs not getting you any more credit!â
âBut I donât have any money, dude.â
âThen I guess you arenât going to be eating this week!â Harold shouted. âAnd if you donât start paying off this tab, Iâm going to start compounding interest!â
âYo, dude, chill!â Larry backed out of the store. âWell I guess Iâm not shopping here anymore, dude.â
All the stores had become stricter since thedude had taken over a month ago. Larry heard stories every day of his police rounding up escaping knights.
Larry walked over to his small car and opened the door. He sat down in the driverâs seat and put the keys in the ignition when he suddenly realized someone was in his passenger seat.
âAh!â he shouted. âWhoâre you, dude?â
âKeep your voice down,â the someone hushed him. âIâm hiding.â
âFrom who?â Larry screamed. This hadn't happened before. He looked out his window and saw a patrol of thedudeâs police rounding a street corner. âOh, hey! Donât those dudes serve that new king dude? Isnât his name like thedude or whatever?â
âQuiet and drive!â the minifigure was very anxious. âMy name is Sir Legoboy and you need to hide me!â
CHAPTER TWO
âI donât care who you are, dude,â said Larry. âGet out of my car!â
âListen, those police are going to capture and torture me if you donât drive away right now!â Legoboy said frantically.
âI donât know, dudeâ¦â
âJust drive!â Legoboy shouted. âYouâd be driving even if I wasnât in the car with you!â
âGood point, dude,â said Larry. He started up his Honda Civic and drove slowly down the street, searching for his favorite radio station.
âCanât you drive any faster?â Legoboy was considering jumping out and trying a different car.
âHang on, dude,â Larry fiddled with the radio knob. âWhen changing radio stations, you should always drive slower, to account for longer reaction time.â
âDo you need to mess with the radio?â
âI need my Bob Marley, dude.â
Just then, Bob Marleyâs âIron Lion Zionâ came on the radio and Larry started singing along.
âOkay, Iâm taking my chances with the police,â Legoboy said. He hated Bob Marley.
CHAPTER THREE
Legoboy was just about to open the car door and make a run for it when all of a sudden Larry floored it and Legoboy was thrown back in his seat.
âWhat made you actually start moving?â Legoboy inquired incredulously.
âI dunno dude, like I was cruising along, dude, and all of a sudden, dude, my foot slipped and we went flying, dude!â
âWell Iâm okay with this speed,â said Legoboy. âJust keep driving. I need to get out of here.â
âI dunno, dudeâ¦â
âLook,â Legoboy reached into his wallet. âI will pay you one hundred dollars to get me out of Morcia.â
Larry thought of all the stuff he could buy at Haroldâs general store with that much money. âYou got a deal, dude!â
There was a chirp.
âUh⦠what was that, dude?â
âI think that was my communicator,â said Legoboy. He pulled out a little blue screen and read something on it. âOh, no.â
âWhat, dude?â
âWe have to turn around!â
CHAPTER FOUR
âI thought you wanted to get out of Morcia, dude!â
âTwo of my friends are in trouble,â said Legoboy. âI thought they were out okay but it looks like theyâve been cornered.â
âWell, I guess youâre on your own, dude,â said Larry, stopping the car. âSorry, dude.â
Legoboy nodded a farewell to Larry and went to exit the car when a laser blast smashed into it and sent it skidding several meters. Larry started screaming wildly and tried to run out of the car, but the door was jammed.
âSir Legoboy,â came a dark, evil voice. âI know youâre in there. Come out. Weâll treat you with respect if you do this the easy way.â
âIâll never submit to you, Vladek!â Legoboy hollered in reply. He swung a mace at the car door and smashed it open. Grabbing Larry, he chucked a flashbang towards the Dark Mythran police attacking them and ran out the opening.
âMy car!â Larry sobbed, Legoboy dragging him behind him. âMy beautiful car!â
