With total control of the Crux System, the Republic uniquely holds access to the last source of Pure Imagination, the Imagination Nexus, contained in Nexus Tower. In this position of dominance, the Nexus Republic exerts influence over the rest of the Kadrus Galaxy Core.

History

In 3026 AF, the four leaders of the Nexus Force declared victory against the Forces of Maelstrom and an end to the Maelstrom War. With thousands of their soldiers already settled into property worlds and most preferring to stay, the leaders elected to restructure into a Nexus Republic, filling the power vacuum left by the explosion of Crux and unfilled during the war. The Civilization Reconstruction (CIVRC) project was launched, developing the cities of Avant City, Nimbus City, and Nexus City and others.

Environment

As with their predecessor Crux, the worlds of the Crux System are widely diverse in their local environments.

Demographics

The people of the Nexus Republic are almost entirely immigrants or descendants of immigrants to Crux from other worlds that arrived as soldiers, answering the Nexus Force's call to save Imagination. Native Cruxians represent a minority, about 14%, of the Republic's ethnic demographics. Of the majority immigrant population, almost all hail from the surrounding worlds of the Kadrus Galactic Core, with few from afar.

Government and politics

The Nexus Republic is a democratic parliamentary republic. Members of parliament are elected by a plurality from each world of the Crux System. Up to five members may represent each of the Republic's 24 worlds, forming the up to 120 member Council of the Nexus Republic, the supreme governing and legislative body of the Nexus Republic.

The Council appoints the departmental leadership who oversee the day to day operations of the Republic.

Economy

The economy of the Nexus Republic contains many mixed industries. In its early years, the Republic relied on interstellar commerce to import most of its goods, but by 3030 had developed its own basic goods manufacturing and fostered advantages in science, medicine, technology, innovation, and tourism.

Infrastructure

All of the Republic's worlds are highly developed, boasting major cities and industrial centers in all of the main worlds.

Culture

Given the diversity of the galaxy's peoples living in the Republic, multiple cultures coexist in the Republic's worlds. While many cultures such as the ninja and pirates have remained distinct, combinations of cultures have formed just as much.
