Nuncius the Messenger

Nuncius the Messenger or Nuncius the "Horse-man" was a citizen of northern Morcia. Before the First Syntax War, he was a mailman, but when the War began he was recruited in the army. When Morcia's northern borders were attacked by the Aquilones, he was chosen to bring the news to King Matthias.

Subsequently, Matthias had Nuncius lead his reinforcements to the northern front, this resulting in a crushing defeat. Nuncius, one of the few survivors, was prompted by the Aquilone soldiers to bring the news to his Kind, threatening his life. Indeed, Nuncius ran and it is said he ran like a horse, hence the name "Horse-man". This was the cause for him to become a legend amongst the Aquilones.

However, when he reached the castle he found it had been taken by thedude. At first, he was scared, but eventually he found the courage to enter the castle during an attack of the Knights of the Olde Speech. He found King Matthias, who had been imprisoned and freed him.

Later, Matthias sent Nuncius after Wiz Ardon, who wished to enter Matthias's castle, taken by thedude, and try to spy them and cause some chaos, in order to help him or to bring news of him. Nuncius watched a duel between Wiz and Vladek, which led to Wiz's being mortally wounded and then his body vanishing.

After that, Nuncius was spotted and chased out of the castle. So began his adventures during thedude's reign. Four years later, Nuncius met with a group of some Knights and friends and shared stories with them. The next day, Sir Loin of Beef departed with him. Their fate remains unknown.

APPEARANCE:

PERSONALITY: Nuncius is a simple man that was involuntarily involved in events bigger than himself. He is easily scared, but he has a great sense of honour, so he will eventually try to do what he thinks is right.

ABILITIES AND POWERS: Nuncius is renowned as a very speedy runner. Even before his famous run from the battle with the Aquilones, this feature had been noted and it was reason that he was often used as a messenger.
