Summary

Fleet Captain Edric Talmid is the captain of the USS Talmidon IV in the Star Trek dimension. He led a longstanding resistance and successful counteroffensive against thedude when the interdimensional tyrant invaded the Federation.

History

Born Edric Talmid to civilian parents Charles and Layla in New York, Earth, Edric's first experience in space was traveling with family to visit cousins on Luna when he was 4. He next got to visit the USS Century which his grandfather Lieutenant Commander Luther Talmid served on.

At 18, Edric joined the Star Force Academy formed by Admiral Harvard Grant. Along with squadmates Adam Flynn, Sarina Orbin, S'ran Edith Taylor, Jacynda Oran, and his cousin Trevor Curtiss Talmid, Edric graduated with the class of 2463 and soon served on a number of starships as a combat-trained special guard for Captains, Diplomats, Ambassadors, and other high-profile persons. He earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. His career placed him on a number of ships including the Excelsior Class USS Wellington and the Galaxy Class USS Kosmos.

After a year soldiering, Edric decided to pursue a larger career in tactical leadership. He completed a course in officer training at Star Fleet Academy and was assigned to the Kosmos with the contemporary rank of Lieutenant specializing in strategic defense planning in 2465.

Edric soon developed an interest in starship design and demonstrated his intelligence in this field. The Kosmos was assigned to Alpha Centauri Fleet Yards to take advantage of Edric's ability, and he was promoted to Commander. Leading a team of engineers, Edric designed the Generations Class Tactical Cruiser. After the Kosmos's captain retired, Edric was assigned his first command and promoted to Captain. He was also approached by Admiral Green with a budget to create a new defense fleet, Minuteman Division.

He began designing a new tactical flagship to lead Minuteman Division with a similar design to the USS Generations. This became the prototype USS Talmidon.
