Summary

Physics and Breaching

Unverse is an area of existence absent normal light, sound, and gravity. Normal matter can exist in Unverse without smashing, and through entering and exiting travel between universes is possible. Electricity does not function in Unverse. Only Imagination and Maelstrom energies subsist in both reality and unreality, that is to say the characteristics of Unverse. Normal energies can persist inside Imagination shield bubbles projected by devices inside Unverse.

As beings of Imagination, Minifigures can remain conscious even fully exposed to Unverse.

The interface between Unverse and universes can be breached by using Maelstrom. The chaotic, twisting properties of the energy when focused on the atomic level can distort reality allowing entrance to Unverse. Once inside Unverse, Maelstrom is quickly dissolved and dispersed unless contained in an Imagination shield. Such a device can then precisely release the Maelstrom on a grid of individual atoms to breach Unverse again and allow exiting into the reality of any known universe.

Each universe's atoms are oriented in one of infinite distinctly identifiable ways. The atoms in Unverse are in a state of perpetual rotation and can be inspired with Imagination-osmosis to point a certain direction to choose which universe for the traveler to land in. Discovery of Universes is facilitated as such.

Unverse consists of a single molecular structure of unidentified and unidentifiable elements. The normal state (the state when discovered) is a malleable and traversable "liquid" state.

In 3028 AF (Primary Dimension Timeline) the bonds between Unverse's molecular elements were separated and each element type forced into separate state. The change in consistency is to the impediment of as-yet-conventional Unverse travel. Separated, the elements lose their reception to Imagination and Maelstrom.

Effects on minifigures

As conventional energies and chemical reactions do not function in Unverse, minifigures traveling through Unverse may continue to function mentally while their physical bodily functions come to a pause, to no permanent harm. Early portable devices for Unverse travel, for instance the Unverse Manipulator produced by the Secondary Dimension Leek Works, failed to project Imagination shields beyond the device's storage, exposing travelers to Unverse. Upon returning to reality, "Unverse-touched" travelers are prone to experiencing nausea, headaches, vertigo, disorientation, and muscle weakness. The conglomeration of temporary ill effects are aptly described as "Unverse Sickness" and usually pass after an average of 78 seconds.

Minifigures traveling through Unverse in groups are able to sense the conscious thoughts and emotions of each other. Commonly reported was the mental hearing of "voices" or "whispers."
