Gleswin

Gleswin is one of the countries founded by the Figorani, but it is still dwelled today, bearing the same name.

Gleswin is a heavily forested land with many streams and rivers flowing through it. To its North, Southern Expia lies and it borders with Batheia on the North-east. Zytheria is at the west. Its Southern border is the edge of Galaz where it meets with the Ninjago face.

History

Some legends have it that Finella Githuniel, daughter of Aleros, was the first of the Figorani to walk in the lands of Gleswin. Others say that it was in the forests of this land that Aleros and his son Rofulus first met the travelling Elves who led them to Alfan. Regardless, it is known that Finella was the one to lead a host of people from Aindalia to Gleswin during the 3rd century BF when the City of the Temple, surrounded by the desolation of Aindalia, reached its population limits; and along with her brother Taurelus Artulion set up a new country there. After the busy Finella had left for new lands, though, Taurelus would stay behind to lead the newly-founded country.

In the following years, the land would prosper and although it did not have the immediate access to the Nexus Aindalia had, its friendlier environment would lead it to build a strong and ever-expanding community of Figorani who rivalled even Aindalia's best Builders. During its peak, the Figoranol Gleswin would come to encompass most of the land that was later known as Zytheria. Due to directly neighbouring with Batheia and being close with Expia (especially after it expanded southwards), Gleswin often traded and interacted with them and thus built a friendly relationship that would lead to a lot more Cruxians joining the Figorani in Gleswin than in Aindalia as was traditional.

Later on, during the 1st through the 5th century AF, Gleswinal people would come to venture beyond Galaz in other faces a lot more frequently and en masse than in the past. As a result of that, the first colonisation of Ninjago took place in the 3rd century as well as the founding of Leggerion in the 4th cenutry.

In the 5th century AF, on a visit to the country, Figroth Felanor would discover the rift between Crux and Deyrmarchogion (or Militiregnum as it was later named). With his help, Kingston would then be built near the location where he first passed on to the other side and in the following years a number of people, Figorani and not, would use the rift and settle in the other planet, eventually founding many of its modern western kingdoms. Figroth's sons, Orlan and Valiros, were leading figures in that venture.

After the destruction of the Figorani in the First Great Galactic War and the Mythran War that Crux faced in the 11th century, Gleswin became almost desolate for a long while. Few people lived in it still, remnants of the past who'd gone in hiding or given up on their very culture, fugitives and brigands. But in time people would come to inhabit it again, come from Batheia and Expia mostly and a new kingdom would be founded, by the same name, but a different nature.

At the end of the 3rd millennium AF, Ellwen came upon the city of Kingston after the fragmentation of Crux and made it her home, being dubbed the Witch of Kingston.

Language

Galazian is spoken in Gleswin and in fact it is the land where the language originated from (originally called Gleswinal), but after the fall of the Figorani there were none to call it their own even though it was still spoken and the language shifted eventually to what we know of it today.
