It's almost addicting, isn't it?! :P

I was trying to figure out a good ending spot from a Author standpoint, but all the ones that came up are WAAAAAY into the future. I thought of them meeting Kotos, but what would that mean, since Talmid, Luke, and Thingguy JUST got back together at the beginning of SA? That's like... almost 10 years from now! :P

No, meeting "kotos" would probably be more like meeting "Matthias" or one of the various underground groups that know about kotos. Or perhaps some obscure Knights that thedude has overlooked. Like Seton!

Anyway, the Author standpoint is getting me nowhere,So I am now trying to look at it from a Character Standpoint:

S & J have sent a contact. The logical thing to do now is wait. But our heros don't like waiting. How long would, or could they stand to wait, and WHO, if anyone, responds to the name of KOTOS, and do they respond IN TIME, before our heros give up on waiting?

Summary Questions:

1: Do S & J wait, and if so, for how long?

2: Regardless of whether they wait, WHO, or WHAT ORGANIZATION, gets the Letter? (actually, it wouldn't matter if thedude's forces got it, because at this time, they cannot translate Olde Speech. (and of course, if one is addressing the Kotos, it's in olde Speech.) )
