Summary

Guardian was a Galaxy Class starship launched in 2475 and stationed around Deep Space 5. In 2480 she participated in multiple combat operations against the marauding Shadow Empire. During her final engagement, Guardian's crew was evacuated and the ship was deliberately destroyed in a ramming attack against a Shadow Empire, turning the tide of the battle in Star Fleet's favor.

In 2481 the crew transferred to the replacement Guardian-A.
