New page

N_B proves once again he's a comedic genius with his new installment to the KOTOS Comedy Chronicles. I probably shouldn't comment on every joke that I found funny, because there were a lot of them. But that ending man. It did literally make me laugh out loud. And I'm using the word literally literally here. As in, be noticed by your family in the other room and have them comment about it laugh. I should have known that there'd be a twist at the end. But I'm glad I didn't.

But really this story's got it all. Monkeys, bread, goats, horses disappearing en masse at the hands of a few monkeys. What did the monkeys even want with the horses anyway? I'd somehow more easily believe they wanted the crochet coasters.

The ending was great, but I've also got to give it to the beginning. Simply declaring "In medias res!" has got to be one of the great ways to begin one's story.

"Horses are great ‘cause they’re fast!" Thank you Mr Aquilone King for this not at all profound statement. We will make sure to make use of this along with "People die when they are killed".

‘I’ve always wanted to sneak attack people with horses ‘cause their messengers won’t be able to relay the deception in time!’

Nuncius: Hold my pigeon

“But, I do expect such a fate to befall me, for you will be assisting my quest.” As much as I want such a low-key roast to be true, I think you might have forgotten a "not" here. Unless you really meant that.

An editor's note, lol!

Goats... ''Goats!''

“Yes. That is no ordinary goat, but rather, a lethal Psychic Goat.” way to assume that not all goats are in fact lethal Psychic Goats.

“RUN! HE’S SENSED US ALREADY!” Did he just assume that goats gender?

I love how Ray's name casually changes to Roy for a bit and then back to Ray.

“Yup! I thoroughly like bread and am bad at spelling!” Ray said cheerfully.

F O R E S H A D O W I N G

"Rarey peared toward the sun and probably receiving eye damage": but that's a myth created by the government

“But why is he approaching now, when he wouldn’t before?” boi there's a lot of gender assuming going on here.

Ray's full name being Ray Ian has got to be on the Top 10 Anime Plot Twists

The feel when you've got a whole bunch of people in Argenturegnum an possibly beyond having a custom of not giving surnames, but instead giving people a second name as they grow up.

But yeah, great story. RIP Rarey the Goat-Slayer. You shall be remembered.
