We talked in DMs about how to make Chapter 18 less confusing so just repeating it here that edits are planned for the story that will touch on this.

Cyclone has been a Rogue for nearly three years and Kate left him to die. :O :o :o :O :O :o So, as we know the events of the past three years (actually, even going farther back to the time of the Sequel Trilogy (RIP)) are not published anywhere, and what has been published is unreliable to really know what's gone on. [https://talmidstories.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Stromling_Saga#3026_AF Timeline_of_the_Stromling_Saga#3026_AF] at least establishes some sort of time frame relevant to this development. The Original Trilogy took place in early 3025, and the timeline declares that Cyclone and Kate pulled their disappearing act sometime later but still in 3025. The "three years" moniker that I've been (ab)using so much ackshually refers to the 2.6 or so years between events of late 3028 (TM, SOTS) and early 3031 (3Y, Tertiary). So there's really around 6 years unwritten between Cyclone and Kate, which is a damn shame, but at least Chapter 19 confirms they're still together on Earth, even three years after their initial disappearance, and that when Mr. Intrepid came to rescue them they were presumably still together then.

Some explanation is hinted to the circumstances of their disappearance on Earth in Chapter 18. <s>Research Into Other Realms and The Epsilon Experiment get namedropped again (although on closer inspection of the Timliene it seems that The Epsilon Experiment doesn't make sense to be here and I'm gonna have to excise that really quick BRB)</s> Research Into Other Realms gets namedropped again, it's a Nexus Force effort, the driving force of Teenyweeny Leek Works while its Flumberfluff counterpart is forgotten in some old Assembly storehouse. The story will return to this later I assure, it's only been getting namedropped as relevant to Flumberfluff since Chapter 5.

The reason for Kate's separation from Cyclone is that he's losing his Creative Spark, and she suspects herself as the cause of this, just as being in proximity to her double in Full Circle had a destabilizing effect on her own, which got figurred out by Vanda in that time. Cyclone's spark's deterioration gets realized post-SOTS in 3028, and Kate leaves to try and stop this. However, he continues losing his spark and by 3031 doesn't have any powers, which is why in the post-3Y flashback he's defenseless to Kate's attack.

Similar sorts of things happened to Teenyweeny Charles too, as he too doesn't have his creative spark, it was "excised and reconstituted" into an Imaginite Crystal "sixteen years ago" (3048 - 16 = 3032), while he himself was " haphazardly pieced back together for an unscrupulous cause " which is working for the Teenyweeny Rogues. These dates don't add up with the Flumberfluff timeline, where it is not 3032 yet; but it is meant to be understood however that things happened similarly, even if at a faster time scale. Flumberfluff Rogues have had thedude, after all, which advances their cause significantly.

To recap, Flumberfluff Cyclone and Kate have remained together from 3025-3028, after their rescue Cyclone's spark deteriorates and Kate leaves him in a misguided effort to prevent his death, he continues to deteriorate, then gets put back together by the Rogues, and his creative spark gets saved at some point so it's around somewhere. Similar things to Teenyweeny's timeline.

As I go over this now I fully get that these things significantly need elucidating and I actually want to focus on bringing some of those edits in sooner rather than after the story's completion.

Moving on...

Charles and Rowana want to bring Kate back. It's expressed as such at the end of Chapter 1. What hasn't been expressed is how he is going to do this. It involves using Charles's creative spark. The idea is that the creative spark of a Nexus Figure is enough power to create an entire dimension, which may yet still be expanding. This gets into stuff like how do dimensions even originate and is the Nexus itself the source of the dimension? And if the Nexus gets infected does the dimension then collapse back in on itself a la Big Crunch?

Versa is the multiblaster. Future Intrepid gave it to Rowana in Ch 13. It's supposed to be the same one Flumberfluff Aiden's been carrying around since she gave it to him SOTS, although he doesn't have it anymore by Tertiary Chapter 20, since his Flumberfluff stuff is yeeted by the Song Stealer or just stowed off his person, so he just uses Future Intrepid's instead. Red's multiblaster actually does some magical teleportation in Three Years, but that's a different problem among other problems with that story.

Ok so we can expect some edits to Chapter 18 inbound that I think will enhance the story significantly....
