I don't know! Â The very first time Jean came into being was when he was mentioned and quoted in Stirling's Backround, but then JDI asked for more details, and then I ended up fleshing him out with the rest of the family for KoTOS Canon. Â

He might have reading glasses, but I never imagined him with them. Â This was the first visual of him I'd ever done. Since, I scetched him here and there, but those were just for personal reference while I was writing. Sometimes I have to scetch the scene to check the actual physics of the people, places, and things therin.Â

I've also wondered if Jean would look good with a beard? (A very well trimmed one, of course! ) Â Perhaps when his story continues, I'll see about spectacles and a beard! :P
