The Skyfalls were what made the Elephanter rich and prosperous, although, as their name suggests, they lived with, cared for, herded, and raised elephants as well. The Ocean Pass (See entry Ocean pass page 789) was too rough for travel by ship, and the gravitational changes caused by the moon made travel via spaceship or aircraft way too dangerous.
