JDI (on the LEGO Gallery which is working again) would like to know if Iamos's alchemy powers can unduckinate things?
</div>I'd have to give the matter some thought, but off the top of my head, I don't think so.
</div>
What's with JDI's obsession of unduckinating duckz? Duckz love being duckz! We are all happy wit duckz! Why does he want to undo that! :P<br />

I'd say no -even if Harold is the lead alchemy expert, I've studied it a lot as well, especially comparatively to transfigurations magic. If you think about it, alchemical transmutions are generally very simple transformations. One material to another material, one shape to another, one location to another. To take a very complex living organism and turn it into a complex living organism of a different kind would require millions of such micro-transmutions and thusly too many variables for the alchemist to define. And that's not all. It is not necessary that life will be preserved during the process. Alchemy treats matter as matter whether it is living or not. If you take a living body and start changing it all sorts of different ways, that could be very bad for its health. And finally, alchemical processes do not use ready information (I think; this is my opinion anyway). Contrary to transfigurations magic where the wizard just vaguely thinks of a toad and the person is turned into a much more specific specimen of toad (creation of information), in alchemy one has to provide all necessary information to have the proper result. Similarly, during a transfiguration an object may have taken the appearance of something else, but it retains its true nature, meaning it holds information of its original shape inside it, while an alchemical process changes the target's nature completely and no information of its past condition is retained. So, also similarly if an alchemist tried to unduckinate someone and miraculously succeeded in humanising the person, they'd most probably have given them different characteristics as the alchemist wouldn't be able to replicate them fully even with a good description or picture. In other words, they would require the information of how the duck was previously. The less of it they have, the least close the person's resemblance to the original would be.

So, no.
